With such consistent quality, it is truly difficult to pick, but as a slightly more prog than metal influenced fan, I'd have to go with SCENES FROM A MEMORY or OCTAVRIUM. Altough again, their worst is better than most band's best.

Wow that's tough,all their albums are great. I'd say Awake,I love Shadows Of A Dream song, and maybe Train Of Thought,and Images and Words.

My two favorites are Awake and Train of Thought (the latter probably their heaviest album ever). I also like Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance and Images & Words. Change of Seasons was a good EP (great song). Metropolis was a good concept album. If you had to pick a "worst" one, Falling into Infinity doesn't stand up among their stronger efforts, in my opinion. Octavarium was good, but, to me, a let-down from the heavyness of Train and Six Degrees. When Dream and Day Unite (their first one) would be a lot better had James sang on it instead of Charlie (YTSEJam makes the first one worth it).

All they have produced are great, but how can anything they do be better that Images and Words? I love TOT, Awake, Six Degs., and everything else out, but Images is their greatest!!!!

I don't know that I have just one, but my two faves are "A Change of Seasons" and "Metropolis". Speak up what are your faves!
